Cardinal Logistics Recognized by United Natural Foods, Inc. as Carrier of the Year

CONCORD, N.C., March 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Cardinal Logistics Management Corporation has been recognized for excellent service and named "Carrier of the Year" by United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI). Chad Brewer, Vice President of Logistics at UNFI, visited Cardinal's headquarters to present this prestigious award. David Myott, Director of National Accounts and Skip Stritzinger, SVP Business Development accepted the award on Cardinal's behalf.

Cardinal operates a dedicated refrigerated shuttle program for UNFI that provides just-in-time deliveries of consolidated products from their network of distribution centers across the country. The program spans over 6 million annual miles transporting temperature sensitive products to and from 15 different locations.  The award criteria included measured metrics in on-time performance, product temperature integrity and fuel saving initiatives.
