THE WOODLANDS, Texas, Aug. 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Cardon Outreach, one of the largest, national providers of integrated revenue cycle management services announced today that the company was selected by IASIS Healthcare to expand its services at 18 healthcare facilities across six states.
Cardon Outreach has been working with IASIS Healthcare to help manage their revenue cycle for nearly 12 years through the delivery of secondary placement for Medicaid eligibility and out-of-state services. The newly-signed contract will build upon the combined success of the two organizations, and will make Cardon Outreach responsible for primary placements going forward.
"IASIS Healthcare's decision to promote us from secondary to primary placement is a testament to the success we have worked hard to achieve on behalf of their organization," said Cardon Outreach Chief Operating Officer Emily Fisher.
"We value our relationship with IASIS and feel fortunate to have employees working alongside their teams within the hospitals to ensure that patients are enrolled in appropriate programs, regardless of whether they are inpatient, outpatient, or seen through the Emergency Department," said Fisher.
Cardon Outreach's Eligibility Service includes working with outpatient accounts as standard operating procedure, which is a differentiator amongst some other national providers of similar services. The ability to provide support for outpatient accounts requires an infrastructure of professional field advocates that are able to follow up with patients outside of the hospital and coordinate information back through a robust technology platform.
"Cardon Outreach has consistently increased revenue year over year for us and improved upon the number of eligibility certifications as well," said Mark Westman, Corporate Vice President Revenue Cycle for IASIS Healthcare.
"Their success in finding and converting outpatient accounts to revenue was extremely important in our decision making-process as the location for care begins to shift more and more toward the outpatient setting."
