NEW ORLEANS, Dec. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- CareRise announced a major step forward in the development of The CareRise Index, a new rating system for Post-Acute Care (PAC) providers and the most direct patient-to-rating model that has ever existed. The Index will offer helpful, comprehensive assessments of (PAC) providers based on real-time reviews by allowing patients in post-acute settings such as skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities or at-home rehab services to provide real-time evaluation on provider-services – to the entire world, real-time – in all spaces of healthcare delivery – via these newly established CareRise Apps and designated websites.

CareRise Founder and CEO Tim Goux said the acquisition of will serve as a key platform to facilitate the gathering of patient reviews for the Index.

"I grew up in this business, and the sharp focus continues towards not just satisfying the patient, but getting to levels that exceed their expectations – from the healthcare providers that serve them," Goux stated.  "With CareRise, we continue to push the absolute limits as it relates to proactive risk management and rating establishment.  The patient is one of the ultimate beneficiaries of our services and providing to them the ultimate in care and service is what the future of healthcare delivery demands.  These applications will work within our major CareRise risk management and patient safety platforms for our business industry models, but will be accessible to all patients within those programs – via our healthcare provider clients."

Approximately eight million people each year are discharged from hospitals to providers in the (PAC)/post-acute care space, whether that is into a skilled nursing and rehab facility, home health or hospice services.  "Too many times we see the deluge of unpointed regulatory requirements getting in the way and preventing staff from having the ability to deliver 'the best of care', much less have the ability to measure it accurately.  By utilizing the latest in technology applications today (such as the smartphone itself), patients will be able to submit their direct feedback on the services they are receiving in real-time, and furthermore, make that information extremely useful to not only consumers, but everyone working in the healthcare professional community," Goux stated.
