SAN DIEGO, Jan. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Owner Carlos Becerra has a reason to celebrate early in 2015 as his newest endeavor, Parq San Diego Restaurant & Nightclub, has quickly become his newest success.
After two years off the market, the legendary 6th and Broadway location in the historic Gaslamp District in San Diego again has a premier dining and club destination as proven by its massive opening in late October. Attended by celebrities and local San Diego tastemakers alike, Parq's opening has put the Gaslamp District back on the map as a worldwide club and food destination. The grand opening weekend featured world renowned DJ Steve Aoki, and Parq has since played host to entertainers such as Skylar Grey, Jason Derulo, Chris Brown, MakJ, Ne-Yo, and more.
Parq's success has further been marked by its recent extension of Restaurant Week. Due to popular demand, this San Diego dining hotspot will offer its prix fixe menu special for an additional week.
Parq boasts a total of 38,000 sq ft with the current restaurant and nightclub taking up 20,000 sq ft. The remaining 18,000 sq ft will be completed with more rooms and features to come in 2015.
Parq is essentially a slice of Vegas life in San Diego. "Parq is the nicest club I have been to in all of California from San Diego to San Francisco," says Raul Machin, Director of Nightlife-Daylife at Encore Beach Club and Surrender Nightlife in Las Vegas. "Being at Parq really makes you feel like you are at a club in Las Vegas. With the state of the art light and sound system it's second to none. I would refer any of my customers from Surrender/ Encore Beach to Parq with no reservations of the type of experience that they may have. It's Vegas Nightlife in Southern California."
Under the guidance of Carlos Becerra, the brand new space has undergone a multi-million dollar gut renovation. Replete with expertly designed lighting and special effects, Cirque-esque performances, guests don't miss out on anything. Mr. Becerra made sure to include phone chargers in every booth, so clubgoers don't have to worry about not being connected.
Start by taking a stroll through a dark & cavernous brick tunnel where chandeliers flicker overhead and transport you into the main nightclub space that features a cluster of various sized light up LED acrylic tubes that wrap from the wall overhead to the ceiling above. Take in the custom wall made from 400 LED lighted champagne bottles that frames the main bar. This space uses contrasting textures and colors to entice the senses such as custom patchwork booth upholstery, warm walnut wood tones, custom metal tree branch dividers, and an alternating black & white stripe restroom that is sure to leave a lasting impression.
The nightclub itself lays claim to a women's makeup lounge, replete with its own private bar, where makeup artists stand at the ready to make sure that your face is party perfect at all times. And of course, no party would be complete without sneaking off to the photo-booth for some quick selfies.
Carlos Becerra hired the best of the best in Chef Errol LeBlanc, to bring progressive American cuisine to Parq. The menu focuses on fresh seasonal ingredients – locally sourced at their prime – to elevate the dining experience. Chef LeBlanc concentrates on great techniques and perfect presentation, having the "simple is more" mindset. No stranger to the club-dining scene, Chef LeBlanc has worked in Vegas at such places as Paris Las Vegas, Mandalay Bay and even working under Joe Romano and Charlie Palmer at the Aureole Las Vegas.
In 2013 Chef LeBlanc was featured on "Chef Wanted with Anne Burrel" on the Food Network channel. Chef LeBlanc came out on top, beating out the rest through three days and four culinary competitions to win the ultimate title. The Chef is noted for his off-the-wall concepts and creativity, meshing flavors, techniques, and new ingredients to put a twist on culinary classics while still creating his own.
Helming the bar is legendary mixologist, Jeremy LeBlanc, who has written two books on the subject of craft cocktails and bartending with flair. Chef Leblanc and Jeremy Leblanc have created unique and creative craft cocktails that pair with the restaurant food perfectly.
The nightclub is open Friday & Saturday, 9PM to 2AM with the Restaurant hours as follows: Tuesday & Wednesday, 6PM to 10PM and Thursday-Saturday, 6PM to 11PM. And don't forget to take advantage of Restaurant Week for an additional seven days!
Carlos Becerra has put San Diego back on the map... Come early for dinner, but stay for late night revelry at Parq Nightclub.
