LONDON, Feb. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Brunswick Group, the corporate advisory firm, has announced today that Caroline Daniel will be joining the firm as a Partner in its London office. Caroline joins Brunswick from the Financial Times where she has been Editor of the Weekend FT, one of the most senior editorial and managerial roles in the newspaper, since 2010.
Caroline joined the Financial Times in 1999 and since 2014 has also been Consulting Editor to FT Live, the global events arm of the Financial Times. Prior to her current roles, Caroline held a number of senior editorial and correspondent positions, including running the FT's Opinion page during the financial crisis and as Comment and Analysis Editor for three years from 2008.

Caroline Daniel joins Brunswick from the Financial Times where she has been Editor of the Weekend FT, one of the most senior editorial and managerial roles in the newspaper. She was appointed Editor of the Weekend FT in June 2010 and took on the additional role of Consulting Editor on FT Live in March 2014. Prior to her appointment as Editor of the Weekend FT, Caroline held a number of senior editorial and correspondent roles, including running the FT's Opinion page during the financial crisis and as Comment and Analysis Editor for the newspaper for three years from 2008. Caroline joined the FT in 1999 and has also held the roles of White House Correspondent (2005-07) and Technology Correspondent (1999-2002).
Caroline is a thought-leader in the technology space and has chaired major technology events and interviewed leading technology figures around the world. She was selected as a Member of the delegation 'Silicon Valley Comes to the UK' group of 17 female technology founders to meet leading tech CEOs. Caroline holds a number of senior private and public service positions including, UK member of the distinguished Trilateral Commission, a global non-governmental discussion group of leading executives and politicians; Advisory Board member for the Samuel Johnson Prize for Non-Fiction, Britain's leading prize for non-fiction book of the year; and Trustee for the Institute for Public Policy Research. She is also a broadcast commentator in the UK, making regular appearances on BBC News, Sky News, BBC World Service and BBC Radio 4.
Caroline was the winner of the prestigious Lawrence Stern Fellowship to the Washington Post. She was a researcher for Gordon Brown MP (Shadow Chancellor) and holds a degree in History from Cambridge University.
