CHICAGO, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With some help from the Elks National Foundation, the charitable arm of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, the Cartersville Elks will provide intake kits for each new arrival at the shelter, and provide ongoing supplies of food and other items the shelter is in constant need of. They also plan to hold drug awareness presentations and host an annual picnic for the children living there.

Safe Haven will be funded by an Impact Grant awarded to the Cartersville Elks by the Elks National Foundation. Impact Grants are the newest addition to the Elks National Foundation's Community Investments Program. They are competitive grants designed to help Elks make a difference in their community. This year, Cartersville Elks Lodge No. 1969 is one of 49 recipients nationwide to receive an Impact Grant. The grants range from $2,500 to $10,000.
