Casey Coffman Elected to Big Brothers Big Sisters National Board

PHILADELPHIA, May 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Casey Coffman, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Operations for Madison Square Garden Sports (MSG), was elected to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America board of directors.  Coffman joined the national board this month and will hold a three-year term.

In her role at Madison Square Garden Sports, Coffman is responsible for the daily operational needs for the business, including the New York Knicks, New York Rangers, and New York Liberty.  In addition, she manages business development activities and serves as liaison with other Madison Square Garden core divisions to drive the company's overall strategic, operating and revenue goals.

Coffman is also a Big Sister to a young boy named David.  The two were matched through Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star in Dallas, Texas for nearly 7 years.

Before joining MSG Sports, Coffman spent 10 years at Hicks Holdings LLC and Hicks Sports Group LLC, most recently serving as chief operating officer.  Previously, Coffman spent nine years with Coca-Cola Company where she was senior division counsel to several operating units.  She also clerked for Honorable John Cornyn on the Texas Supreme Court earlier in her career.

Coffman sits on the board of Women's World Banking and in 2009 the Dallas Business Journal named her a "Woman to Watch."  She received her J.D. from the University of Texas.
