ALBION, Mich., May 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Caster Concepts, manufacturer of heavy duty industrial casters and wheels, has acquired the assets of Modern Suspension Systems of Rockford, IL.

Modern Suspension Systems is a pioneer in shock absorption casters, supplying products to critical applications for the past 50 years. The tread tray carts and die cast business, which has been a part of Modern Suspension Systems, will remain under the control of MS Holdings Rockford LLC in Rockford, IL. MS Holdings will also become a distributor of Caster Concepts products as part of the acquisition. Modern Suspension Systems has a long standing distributor relationship with R.T. Laird, Inc. of Plymouth, MI.

As part of the transition, Farrel Tedder, President of MS Holdings, will remain on as adviser to assure customer needs are met and information is transferred.
