Catamaran Corporation Announces Two-for-One Stock Split

LISLE, IL, Sept. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ - Catamaran Corporation ("Catamaran" or the "Company") (NASDAQ: CTRX, TSX: CCT), a leading provider of technology and pharmacy benefit management ("PBM") services, announced today that its board of directors has declared a nominal dividend on the issued and outstanding common shares of the Company to effect a two-for-one stock split.  Shareholders of record at the close of business on September 20, 2012 will be issued one additional common share for each share owned as of that date.  The additional common shares will be distributed on October 1, 2012.

The common shares of the Company are expected to start trading on an ex-dividend basis on the NASDAQ Stock Market ("NASDAQ") and the Toronto Stock Exchange (the "TSX") at market opening on October 2, 2012.  The common shares of the Company are expected to trade on a "due bill" basis on NASDAQ and the TSX between market opening on September 18, 2012 and market closing on October 1, 2012.  The stock split will increase the number of Catamaran common shares outstanding from approximately 102.5 million shares to approximately 205.0 million shares.
