Catapult Systems Awarded SharePoint 2010 and FAST Intranet Project

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 5, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Catapult Systems, a leading Microsoft IT consulting firm, announced today they've recently begun a Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and FAST implementation for Array BioPharma, a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of targeted small molecule drugs to treat patients afflicted with cancer and inflammatory diseases.  

Earlier this year, Array conducted a proof of concept (POC) with Catapult to better understand and validate the features of SharePoint 2010, and how it could be used to create robust document management, records management, and team collaboration system for the company.  Based on the success of the POC, Array decided to work with Catapult to implement SharePoint 2010 and include FAST, which will provide an enterprise-class search engine to support creating search driven applications.

Array's new intranet site will focus on creating:

• An effective document management system with a document repository that is secure yet provides the structure and process Array needs.  
• A consistent interface for publishing, editing and review of web content and dashboards.
• The ability for teams to collaborate on self-service sites for their departments and cross functional teams.
• A single point of entry for enterprise systems, dashboards and reporting.
• A framework upon which to build future custom applications to help run their business.
