LOS ANGELES, June 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- CatConLA, sponsored by Hill's® Science Diet® and Petco® saw a cat-tastic outpouring of feline fans from around the globe on Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26 with new talent, events and activations.
Celebrities - both human and of the feline persuasion - were in abundance, including Mariel Hemingway, Lil BUB, Tallulah Willis, Jessica Lowndes, Sasha Perl-Raver, Addison Riecke, Amanda De Cadenet, Pudge, Nala Cat, Sierra McCormick, Lisa Loeb, Veronica Merrell, Andy Milonakis, Gerry Bednob, Lizzy Greene, and more.
Fans by the thousands turned out to show their cat pride, enjoying 90,000 square feet of entertainment, awareness and of course, kitties. Hill's® Science Diet® and Petco® hosted the Clowder Adoption Lounge, in collaboration with spcaLA. By show's end, 97 cats were adopted and went off to new forever homes. 157 vendors showcased their cat-centric products, in the areas of art, furniture, clothing, accessories and design, for cats and their people, with many returning vendors exceeded sales from the year prior.

CatCon is unlike any other pet expo out there – it all about redefining the cat lady – proving that you can be chic and stylish, and own a cat, simultaneously.
The first CatCon debuted in June 2015, attracting nearly 13,000 cat lovers from across the globe. The median age attending was 18-34 with 70% being female, debunking the often thought of image of the "Crazy Cat Lady." This year CatCon will again donate $1 of every ticket sold to FixNation as well as additional funds to Lil BUB's Big Fund at ASPCA and Kitten Rescue.
Sponsors for 2016 include: Rachael Ray Nutrish for Cats, Zappos, ModCloth, PurinaONE, World's Best Cat Litter, okocat, Found Animals, The Secret Life of Pets, Modern Cat Magazine, Colorwear, VCA Animal Hospitals, Crowdfood, and The ACE Hotel.
