C&D Technologies Wins Stratus Award for AI Data Center Infrastructure

— C&D Technologies Recognized for Innovative Approach to Delivering Reliable, Resilient Power Infrastructure for Rapidly Evolving Demands of AI Data Centers —

HORSHAM, Pa., Sept. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- C&D Technologies, a global provider of innovative energy storage solutions for over a century, has earned a Stratus Award in the AI Data Center Infrastructure (Power, Cooling, Density) category by the Business Intelligence Group. The award recognizes C&D Technologies' contributions to advancing infrastructure solutions that support the growing power demands and increasing complexity of AI data centers.

As AI workloads continue to accelerate, data centers are facing unprecedented demands for reliable, resilient and scalable power infrastructure. C&D Technologies is helping address these challenges through advanced energy storage technologies designed to support critical infrastructure and the evolving requirements of high-density computing environments.

Excellence in Cloud Computing

The Stratus Awards recognize organizations and leaders demonstrating excellence in cloud computing and related technologies. C&D Technologies' recognition in the AI Data Center Infrastructure category highlights the company's ability to deliver solutions that help data centers navigate the intersection of power availability, infrastructure density, and operational resilience.

"For a decade, the cloud question was 'where does this run?' This year, every serious submission answered a different one: 'what does it do without us?'" said Russ Fordyce, Chief Recognition Officer, Business Intelligence Group. "C&D Technologies earned this recognition in AI Data Center Infrastructure (Power, Cooling, Density) because it could say what its technology finished, not just what it promises. That is the standard the cloud is being held to now, and this is a team meeting it."

"AI is fundamentally changing the way data centers are designed and operate. It places new demands on power infrastructure and energy resilience, forcing decision makers to place additional emphasis on power solutions," said Bob Malley, Vice President, Portfolio Strategy, C&D Technologies. "This recognition reflects C&D Technologies' commitment to developing products that help customers address these challenges with dependable, high-performance energy storage. As AI workloads continue to scale, we remain focused on delivering the infrastructure technologies needed to keep critical systems running reliably."

The Stratus Award adds to C&D Technologies' growing recognition for its work supporting critical infrastructure and data center applications. Through its portfolio of advanced energy storage solutions, C&D Technologies continues to help customers enhance reliability, resilience and performance across increasingly demanding power environments.
