About Aarti Sequeira
Aarti's passion for food started before she could even talk. Following graduation from Northwestern University and a producing gig at CNN, she soon moved to Los Angeles and enrolled in The New School of Cooking and never looked back. Upon completion, she secured an internship at Lucques, working alongside James Beard Award winner, Suzanne Goin. Sequeira rose to rockstar status as the Season Six winner of Food Network's "The Next Food Network Star." Her own show, "Aarti Party" premiered on the network in 2010 and she subsequently went onto host "Taste in Translation" on the Cooking Channel. Currently, Aarti can be seen as a judge on "Guy's Grocery Games" and her first cookbook, "Aarti Paarti: An American Kitchen with an Indian Soul," came out to rave reviews in September -- it is a love letter to both the flavors of her youth as an Indian girl growing up in the Middle East and the flavors that embrace her home now in the States. You can like Aarti on Facebook and follow her on Twitter.
