Mr. Pat Foody Sr. 2011 Receives SIM's Raphael Katzen Award

OTTAWA, May 5 /PRNewswire/ - Duncan Macleod CEO of Iogen Energy, is pleased to announce that today Iogen's founder, Mr. Pat Foody Sr., will be awarded the prestigious 2011 Raphael Katzen Award by the Society of Industrial Microbiology.

Mr. Foody is being honoured for a lifetime achievement in the commercialization of biofuels. It recognizes Mr. Foody not only for his contributions to the establishment and development of Iogen, but also for pioneering the development of the commercial advanced renewable fuels made from cellulose.

The Society for Industrial Microbiology is a nonprofit, international association dedicated to the advancement of microbiological sciences, especially as they apply to industrial products, biotechnology, materials, and processes.
