Census Bureau Launches 2010 Census in Schools Program in Wilmington, Del.

WASHINGTON, Jan. 13 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following advisory was released by the U.S. Census Bureau:

What: U.S. Census Bureau Director Robert M. Groves, U.S. Sen. Tom Carper, Deputy Secretary of Education Anthony M. Miller and Governor Jack Markell will launch the 2010 Census in Schools program at Bancroft Elementary School in Wilmington, Del.
The program will be highlighted by visits from Sesame Street characters Walkaround Count von Count (The Count) and Rosita.
Census in Schools gives schools a wide range of free, optional, standards-based lesson plans on subjects related to the census, ranging from math to social studies. The program is designed for students in kindergarten through 12th grade and will reach all 118,000 schools and 56 million students nationwide.
