What: The U.S. Census Bureau will announce findings from its 2007 Economic Census Franchise Statistics, the first detailed data set showing the economic impact of franchising across nearly 300 industries for businesses with paid employees. Census Bureau Deputy Director Thomas Mesenbourg will present the findings at the International Franchise Association's annual public affairs conference.
The event will consist of a presentation of findings to the association membership in the Grand Ballroom followed by a media availability in the Longworth Room.
The International Franchise Association played an important role in promoting a wider look at franchising across many industries in the U.S. economy and advised the Census Bureau about which industries would likely be important sources of franchising data.
