Centene Awarded Contract for Maryland Physicians Care Plan Operations
ST. LOUIS, May 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC) announced today that its specialty solutions division, Envolve, Inc., has been selected by Maryland Care, Inc. d/b/a/ Maryland Physicians Care MCO to provide health plan management services for its managed Medicaid operations in Maryland effective July 1, 2017.
Maryland Physicians Care is a locally based managed care organization that administers healthcare services to over 190,000 Marylander's enrolled in the Maryland HealthChoice program. Envolve will be providing comprehensive management services for MPC's over $900 million revenues and associated medical expenses. Envolve will operate in Maryland and provide over 200 jobs starting in July 2017.
