Centerplate Chosen as Hospitality Provider for New Home of Lake County Fielders

STAMFORD, Conn., July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Centerplate, the leading hospitality provider to North America's premier sports stadiums and convention centers, is pleased to join the new Lake County Stadium as the Fielders' hospitality and food service partner.

The Lake County Fielders are the newest franchise of the independent Northern League and represent Lake County's only professional sports team. The team is owned in part by Rich Ehrenreich and long-time baseball fanatic and Academy Award-winning actor Kevin Costner. The new stadium facility, home to the Fielders, is located in Zion, Illinois.

Centerplate's extensive experience in facility design and new venue openings will be a critical factor in this first season and in the ongoing construction and completion of the new park. This announcement comes on the heels of other recent new business for the company, including the Baltimore Convention Center, the Cobo Convention Center in Detroit and the Niagara Convention and Civic Centre in Canada.
