Centerplate Taps Iowa Craft Beer Line-Up for the Iowa Cubs' 2013 Season

DES MOINES, Iowa, May 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Centerplate, event hospitality partner to the Iowa Cubs, announces a series of new local craft beers for the 2013 Season at Principal Park.

Cubs fans will have several new local craft beers to enjoy this season at a brand new kiosk. Centerplate and the Iowa Cubs have partnered with the Iowa Craft Beer Tent to create a new beer garden at Principal Park for the 2013 season. The new beer kiosk will serve eight Iowa based craft beers ranging from Belgian White to Honey Pilsner to Vanilla Creme Ale. The kiosk will serve six staple beers and two seasonals to ensure a variety throughout the 72 game season, including:

• Confluence Brewing Company (Des Moines, IA) "Farmer John's", a multi-grain ale 
• Exile Brewing Company (Des Moines, IA) "Hannah", a Bavarian style Weissbier
• Exile Brewing Company (Des Moines, IA) "Ruthie", a Munich Gold Lager
• Court Avenue Brewing Company (Des Moines, IA) "Belgian White"
• Madhouse Brewing Company (Newton, IA) "Honey Pilsner"
• Millstream Brewing Company (Amana, IA) "Iowa Pale Ale'

Sticking with the Iowa theme, Centerplate also created two new food concepts including pulled pork tacos and a bacon sloppy Joe. As part of the Cubs fan appreciation program, Dollar Hot Dog Days which will be held on May 16, June 18, July 1 and August 12.
