Centerplate's Kernell Jupiter Wins Coors Light "Ice Cold Retailer" Award
Jupiter Recognized for Community Leadership By MillerCoors
NEW ORLEANS, April 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Centerplate's, Kernell Jupiter, General Manager at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and New Orleans Arena, has been awarded the "Ice Cold Retailer" award by Chicago-based MillerCoors brand Coors Light in conjunction with community leaders 100 Black Men of America, Inc. In 2012, MillerCoors partnered with 100 Black Men, Inc. to launch the "Ice Cold Leaders" award, identifying exemplary community ambassadors based on "their ability to lead by example, motivate others and create or inspire positive living and innovation, with lasting effects on their communities." In conjunction with the Ice Cold Leader award, Kernell Jupiter was also honored as the "Ice Cold Retailer" of the year.

Kernell, a New Orleanian who wears his hometown pride on his sleeve, has been with Centerplate for seven years, overseeing 20 managers, 1,400 service personnel, and 110 culinary staff members in a stadium that seats over 73,000. Jupiter has been instrumental in Centerplate's hugely successful hospitality programs at the 2012 NCAA Final Four, and the 2012 BCS National Championship game. Jupiter will also oversee Centerplate's responsibilities as hospitality partner to the 2013 NFL Super Bowl at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
