CertainTeed Ceilings To Form Grid Joint Venture with Leading Canadian Steel Company

VALLEY FORGE, Pa., Dec. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- CertainTeed, a leading North American manufacturer of building materials, announced today its intention to form a joint venture with Bailey Metal Products Limited (BMP) of Concord, Ont., to manufacture suspended ceiling grid in Canada and the United States.  Bailey Metal Products Limited is Canada's largest lightweight steel framing manufacturer and a leading provider of drywall trims and accessories.

With this joint venture, CertainTeed will have access to Bailey's 60 years of steel processing, fabrication and technical expertise as well as the company's extensive knowledge of the Canadian market.  With CertainTeed, Bailey will partner with an emerging leader in the manufacture of innovative, high quality suspended acoustical ceilings products.
