VALLEY FORGE, Pa., March 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The ninth and final webisode in the CertainTeed 2013 Living Spaces^® Facebook^® Home Makeover Video Contest series recaps the incredible $75,000 exterior transformation of the Mentor, Ohio-based Bielfelt family's century-old home. Guiding the family through the final reveal is CertainTeed 5-Star Green and Master Shingle Applicator contractor, RJK Construction Co., of Willoughby, Ohio.

The webisode begins with the newly revamped porch areas. The homeowner selected aluminum-reinforced white porch columns and EverNew^® Kingston vinyl railing with colonial posts, as well as seamless Beaded Triple 2-inch soffit in a corresponding shade of white. This combination creates a fashionable and inviting atmosphere, which perfectly complements the home's Cedar Impressions^® Heritage Cream color shingles. Restoration Millwork^®custom post brackets designed and fabricated by Lasting Details, Inc. of Lansing, Michigan, complete the front porch by adding beautiful and intriguing curb appeal to the home.

For the front and back exterior of the home, durable Cedar Impressions Double 7-inch Staggered Perfection Shingles in Heritage Cream and Spruce were installed with accents of Autumn Red and Spruce Cedar Impressions 6 ¼-inch Half-Round Shingles. This compelling siding combination was also used on the family's detached garage. For a significant reduction in seams, Monogram^®XL lap siding in Heritage Cream was installed on the sides of the home and garage. Other CertainTeed products used in the transformation were Beaded SuperCorner^™ and InvisiVent^®Triple 3-1/3-inch vented soffit, both in Colonial White.

To add timeless character to the home, Lasting Details created stunning, one-of-a-kind embellishments out of Restoration Millwork. A white gable pediment added to the front peak of the house and the custom cupola perched on the garage help convey the undeniable charm that the homeowner wanted. Finally, 5-Star Fence Contractor Austintown Fence Co., of Youngstown, Ohio, installed a virtually maintenance free Bufftech^®picket-style vinyl fence in complementary white to highlight the property's border garden.
