RESTON, Va., March 24, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- We are excited to announce Matt Cooper to CertiPath as the Director of PKI Services. He will be based out of our Reston Headquarters office. Matt joins us from CygnaCom Solutions with nearly 20 years of experience working with PKI technology.
He has authored a wide array of complex software including projects such as certificate path building and validation libraries, a timestamp server, custom CA components, and much more. Matt also has extensive experience identifying security risks and non-conformant behavior in relying party software, protocols, and systems. He also brings to the table more than a decade of end to end experience with a Fortune 50 corporate PKI deployment covering the entire gamut from architecture and policy to deployment and maintenance. Matt lent his expertise to CP and CPS documentation, technical design, deployment, and ongoing support of their global CA and OCSP infrastructure as well as Timestamp service integration, VPN, and various application enablement efforts.
In this role, Matt will be providing support to the CertiPath Bridge as the Operational Authority Manager. This will include maintaining our Criteria and Methodologies for Cross Certification and the up keep of our Certification Practices Statements. As an industry liaison and representative of CertiPath, he will be an active member of CPWG, attend FPKI/TWG meetings industry meetings and be an advocate to help advance our position in the industry.
Matt will also provide support in the GSA Lab by recommending test cases (FRTC) and assistance with addressing technical questions as related to PKI, SCVP, OCSP and others.
A significant portion of his time will be spent working to advance CertiPath software. His technical expertise will be leveraged to help assess and advance our current products while better understanding future opportunities.
Matt and his wife, Andreia, currently reside in Northern Virginia with their two small children.
