CHICKEN SALAD CHICK TO OPEN FIRST RESTAURANT IN MARYLAND

Fast casual concept to open in Westminster, celebrating grand opening on February 11 and offering free chicken salad for a year

ATLANTA, Feb. 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Chicken Salad Chick, the nation's only fast casual chicken salad restaurant concept, announced today the opening date of its first restaurant in The Old Line State, which will expand the brand's footprint to 21 states. The new restaurant is located at 255 Baltimore Boulevard Suite 7 in the Westminster Station shopping center. The Westminster community is invited to celebrate this grand opening on Tuesday, February 11 where the first 100 guests in line will win free chicken salad for a year*. 

During grand opening week, guests can expect to experience the Southern hospitality that Chicken Salad Chick is known for, as well as a community focused mindset with various specials and giveaways. These include:

• Tuesday, February 11 – FREE Chicken Salad for a Year to the first 100 Guests – The first guest in line will receive one large Quick Chick of chicken salad per week for an entire year. The next 99 guests in line will receive one large Quick Chick of chicken salad per month for a year.*

Chicken Salad Chick of Westminster is the first location owned and operated by franchise owner, Paul Weitz. Weitz is a lifelong entrepreneur and is familiar with running franchises, as he also operates Jersey Mike's Subs shops and has experience operating additional franchise concepts in the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. Paul was first introduced to Chicken Salad Chick through his wife and in-laws, who also hail from Atlanta, the brand's current homebase, and have been fans for many years. Paul has also been interested in opening franchises, and after trying Chicken Salad Chick for himself, he knew he wanted to bring the restaurant concept to Maryland. Paul's business entity, Bmore Chick, LLC, is opening the first Chicken Salad Chick in the state and has plans to open additional Chicken Salad Chick locations in the Baltimore area in the future.

As part of the pre-opening Friends & Family events in Westminster, the restaurant will be raising money for Bridging Life Hospice Care. Donations help provide hospice and palliative care services to individuals with a life-limiting illness across Baltimore, Carroll and Frederick Counties in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
