China Hydroelectric Corporation Announces Annual Shareholder Meeting to Be Held on September 28, 2010

NEW YORK, Sept. 23 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ --  China Hydroelectric Corporation (NYSE: CHC, CHCWS) ("China Hydroelectric" or the "Company"), an owner, developer and operator of small hydroelectric power projects in the People's Republic of China ("PRC"), today announced that it will hold its annual general meeting of shareholders on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 9:30 a.m., local time, at the offices of DLA Piper LLP (US), located at 1251 Avenue of the Americas, New York, New York 10020, United States of America.  Only shareholders registered in the register of members at the close of business on August 13, 2010 can vote at this meeting or at any adjournment that may take place.
