China Yida Appoints Senior Executive to Strengthen its Tourism Marketing Team
FUZHOU, China, March 9, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia-Firstcall/ -- China Yida Holding Company (Nasdaq: CNYD) ("China Yida" or the "Company"), a leading diversified entertainment enterprise in China, today announced the appointment of Mr. Laihong Wang as Vice President of the Company to lead the marketing of the Company's tourism business.
Laihong Wang, aged 53, has over 20 years experience in the tourism industry. Prior to joining China Yida, he was General Manager of Hengdian Dongyang Studio Tourism Marketing Company since 2003, responsible for the integrated marketing of Hengdian World Studios ("Hengdian"), a 5A tourism destination in Zhejiang Province. Prior to that, Mr. Wang was General Manager of Yao Lin Fairyland, a 4A tourism destination which is famous for its karst landform.
As General Manager at Hengdian, Mr. Wang expanded the number of marketing branches from 2 in Zhejiang Province to 46 all over China, which helped increase tourist traffic from 0.16 million in 2002 to more than 2 million in 2010. Also he was contributing to a five-fold increase in revenue from RMB 100 million in 2002 to more than RMB 500 million in 2010.
