Manhattan Chinatown jewelers are invited to participate in a special two-week event, Chinatown Jewelry Week, welcoming shoppers to come to Chinatown to find their perfect Valentine's Day gift. The 2013 theme of Chinatown Jewelry Week is "For Your Sweetheart Deal." The deadline for registration is January 18, 2013, with a one-time participation fee of $288 per jewelry store of any size. About the Second Annual Chinatown Restaurant Week (March 16 to 31, 2013)

Manhattan Chinatown restaurateurs are invited to participate in the second annual Chinatown Restaurant Week, welcoming diners to Chinatown for a special $20.13 meal. The deadline for registration is March 1, 2013, with a one-time participation fee of $288 per restaurant of any size. No registrations will be permitted after that date. Special post-Sandy offer: Save $100 off for restaurants (and pay $188) and save $200 off for returning restaurants (and pay $88) with registration on or before February 15, 2013. Official Press Briefing for Chinatown Restaurant Week will be held on March 8, 2013 at 2:00 pm at a location to be announced. The 2012 Chinatown Restaurant Week had 18 founding participating restaurants and 25 founding community supporters. Participating restaurants reported an average of 12% to 18% increase in revenues.

Contest: More Reasons to Love Chinatown…

Inspired by New York Magazine's December issue, "Reasons to Love New York," Chinatown Restaurant Week will hold its second "Reasons to Love Chinatown" contest on www.facebook.com/chinatownrestaurantweek that will run from December 26, 2012 to February 28, 2013, where entrants can submit a favorite photograph and describe in one sentence why they love Chinatown. All of the one-sentence entries must begin with the word, "Because..." A new winner will be announced every Friday.

Information Session with Bonus Social Media Workshop Announced (January 4, 2013)

To help businesses learn more about the 2013 Chinatown Jewelry Week and the 2013 Chinatown Restaurant Week, the following information session and bonus social media workshop will be conducted in English and Chinese on Friday, January 4, 2013 at True Light Church, 195 Worth St., New York. Light refreshments will be served.
