NEW YORK, Feb. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Kicking off 2014, Cholula hot sauce has cooked up a spicy partnership with internationally celebrated Latin chef, author, and TV host Ingrid Hoffmann. Host of Cooking Channel's Simply Delicioso and author of Latin D'Lite, Hoffmann, a Colombian native, is known for her passionate efforts to draw awareness and entice home cooks to explore the flavors of Latin America. As hot sauce continues to be an increasingly popular condiment in the U.S., with Cholula as a leading hot sauce in the marketplace, the company felt the timing was appropriate to welcome a spokesperson to represent the growing brand.

"I have cooked with Cholula for years. Its blend of peppers, chili, and spices has heat but also an authentic, rich flavor," said Hoffmann. "Hot sauce is an essential ingredient in Latin cooking, so I am excited to join forces with such a prestigious brand to share recipes that pack a delicioso flavor punch."
"As a foremost authority on Latin cuisine Ingrid is a natural fit to represent Cholula, appealing to a fan base in both the English and Spanish-speaking communities," said Dana Lawnzak, Marketing Director at Cholula Foods. "Not only is she a respected culinary voice, but she has an energy that brings excitement to the table and she inspires home cooks to experiment with ethnic flavors. We're thrilled for her to join our team, to educate consumers on how to use Cholula in recipes, and to encourage people to try Cholula's full portfolio of flavors."
As Cholula evolves in 2014, Ingrid will play an integral role in demonstrating how to use Cholula as an ingredient in cooking. She will lend her sophisticated palate to provide expert recommendations for how to apply each flavor in Cholula's collection (Original, Chipotle, Chili Lime, and Chili Garlic) to home recipes or add as an enhancement to dishes. She will develop exclusive recipes for the brand using Cholula flavors, and will incorporate the hot sauces into a handful of her existing recipes for a series of webisodes that will be released on the brand's website over the course of the next year. As part of a digital campaign, she will pen new "Chica Tips," or cooking advice, to support the brand via Facebook posts, tweets, and other content on her social media platforms.
