Chrysler Group Launches Co-Branded Credit Card
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Apr 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --
- Cards carry the Chrysler, Jeep®, Dodge, Ram Truck or Fiat brand names
- Customers earn most reward points for transactions at dealerships
Chrysler Group LLC announced today an automotive credit card program with First National Bank of Omaha and MasterCard designed to reward brand loyalty.
Customers may apply for the Chrysler Group MasterCard credit card at participating Chrysler Group dealerships or online at www.chryslergroupcreditcards.com starting in May 2011. The cards are branded with the Chrysler, Jeep®, Dodge, Ram Truck or Fiat brand names.
Cardholders earn and redeem points for a variety of products and services ranging from cash off of vehicle purchases, parts, or service at Chrysler Group dealerships to travel, merchandise, and gift cards.
"This new credit card program is a way to thank our loyal customers who can earn discounts on service and parts at our dealerships, as well as cash off of new vehicle purchases," said Fred Diaz, President and CEO – Ram Truck and Lead Executive for U.S. Sales.
The custom rewards program enables cardholders to earn increased points at Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Truck, and Fiat dealerships. Cardholders earn three points for every $1 spent on purchases at the participating dealerships, two points for travel-related purchases, and one point for all other purchases. The associated benefits offered by the card make it one of the finest in the industry, such as no cap on reward point earning or redemption.
"This co-branded card provides drivers another way to demonstrate their affinity for the brand while earning valuable rewards at their dealer and the millions of locations worldwide where MasterCard is accepted," said Craig Vosburg, Group Executive, Market Development, U.S. Markets, MasterCard Worldwide.
Customers may apply for the Chrysler Group MasterCard credit card at any participating Chrysler Group dealership beginning in May 2011. Dealerships will invite customers to apply for the card while they are in the dealership purchasing or servicing a vehicle. Most applicants will get an instant decision when they apply in the dealership. The Chrysler MasterCard has no annual fee and offers Chrysler Group customers a competitive annual percentage rate.
"First National continues to be at the forefront of developing new partnerships in the credit card space and we are excited about today's announcement regarding our new alliance with Chrysler Group, LLC," said Stephen F. Eulie, president, First Bankcard, the credit card division of First National Bank of Omaha. "Working with Chrysler Group, we have designed a robust program with incredible earning potential to reward Chrysler Group's passionate drivers."
