AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Crescent Resources' Circle West Campus apartment community recently won the Grand Award for Marketing and Advertising from Multifamily Executive magazine. Circle West Campus, which opened in August, is within walking distance of the University of Texas and features modern amenities in an environmentally sensitive development.
Crescent Resources was recognized for using a mix of creative materials to promote the community. The campaign included print ads, handouts and mailers, promotional events and giveaways, movie-style posters, a wrapped MINI Cooper, colorful leasing office branding, and a strong web presence with social media integration. All materials incorporated a playful, eco-friendly theme directed at college students and young urban professionals.
Multifamily Executive's industry-leading event featured 30 awards recognizing exceptional people, projects and programs across 19 categories. Winners were chosen by a panel of judges that consisted of the magazine's editors and industry veterans.
"We're thrilled that our first student housing community was recognized for this prestigious award," said Brian Natwick, president of Crescent's multifamily division. "The Circle West Campus brand is well-known in Austin for its modern green identity, upscale vibe and prime location."
The 167-unit community offers students an opportunity to live close to school, employment centers, dining, shopping and recreational destinations. It features a mix of studios, one-, two- and four-bedroom apartments, with a total of 476 beds.
Circle West Campus has a resort-style pool, tanning beds, and a study cafe and lounge. The recreation room includes televisions and the latest interactive gaming systems, a pool table and a poker table. Student residents have access to covered parking and a community grilling area.
Circle was inspired through extensive review and analysis of current industry trends and marketplace needs. The progressive Circle communities are places where neighbors connect. In addition to presenting a new breed of apartments that people are excited to live in, Circle developments are also infused with the exceptional quality and customer-oriented features that have become Crescent hallmarks.
In addition to Circle West Campus, Crescent Resources developed Circle at South End in Charlotte, N.C.; Circle at Concord Mills in Concord, N.C.; and The Venue at Cool Springs in Nashville, Tenn. Other Crescent multifamily communities under construction include Circle Bayshore and Circle Crosstown in Tampa, Fla.; Gallery at Cameron Village in Raleigh, N.C.; Circle Ninth Street in Durham, N.C.; and Circle SouthPark in Charlotte. Crescent's planned multifamily communities include Circle Alexander Village in Charlotte and Circle Terminus in Atlanta, as well as three additional developments for which construction is planned to start this year.
