Cisco and Loenberg AR Top the 2018 IIAR Analyst Professional, Team and Agency of the Year
LONDON, July 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- An in-depth survey of industry analysts conducted by the Institute of Industry Analyst Relations (IIAR) looked at their perception of how analyst relations (AR) professionals are performing. The survey respondents voted the best AR professionals, teams and agencies supporting them in their day-to-day interactions with ICT vendors and service providers. The 2018 winners include Cisco for Best AR Team, Loenberg AR for Best AR agency, and Amal Nichols of Cisco as the Top AR professional. This IIAR survey aims at sharing best AR practices for the benefits of AR professionals and industry analysts alike. It investigates the performance of individuals, "megavendors" teams and AR agencies according to the IIAR 3R's: Responsiveness, Relationships and Results.
Key findings to be detailed in an upcoming webinar for IIAR members confirms that good execution is crucial for analysts, their top pet peeves of analysts include not following-up on requests and PR-type push with generic information not supporting their own research coverage area.

In addition to placing two winners in the IIAR AR Professional of the Year 2018, analysts also voted Cisco the best IIAR AR Team of the Year for 2018 for the second year running.

IIAR AR Agency of the Year 2018: Loenberg AR
A new category for agencies providing analyst relations services sees Signe Loenberg keeping the top position in 2018 for those awards, after being elected as the best AR professional for two year running. The IIAR survey maps a deep field with 85 AR agencies identified by analysts, with an sizeable spread between the top 30 agencies and the bottom 35 -all of the latter receiving negative scores. Large unspecialised agencies and PR freelancers were equally shunned by analysts, demonstrating the value of specialist AR skills and staff.
