"People and their pets are the reason we are all willing to stay up all night or come in to work on holidays," Dr. Kim Hammond, Chief Veterinarian and Owner of Falls Road Animal Hospital said. "We all have pets of our own and know just how other pet owners feel when they have a sick or hurt pet. So we're always ready and are here to help."
Falls Road Animal Hospital is the only veterinary clinic in Baltimore that provides routine and emergency pet care 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including weekends and holidays. Falls Road is also among the top 15 percent of veterinary clinics in the nation that have earned American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accreditation.
Dr. Hammond, says he is very proud of the award because they indicate the high quality-of-care he and the other veterinarians and staff provide and the high level of satisfaction from pet owners.
"We are very proud of the awards we've received, but not as proud as we are of doing our best for each of pet that comes into our animal hospital. Pets and their owners are our top priority—helping them get healthy and stay healthy is what matters most to us," said Dr. Hammond.
Dr. Hammond explains that pet owners especially appreciate how Falls Road Animal Hospital is open 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.
"As Murphy's Law would have it, pet emergencies often happen at night and on weekends—and during any medical emergency, time is of the essence," Dr. Hammond said. "Some emergencies just can't wait until Monday morning at 9:00 a.m."
"So with highly-experienced veterinarians and skilled veterinary technicians, there is always someone here to help save a pet's life. That makes us unique among pet hospitals in the region," he added.
Falls Road Animal Hospital also offers care for a variety of species in addition to dogs and cats, ranging from the smallest pocket pets to the largest reptiles. They've seen everything from hamsters, gerbils and various rodents, to birds, snakes, various lizards, macaques, and even the occasional tarantula. Their group of our veterinarians can perform all examinations, diagnostic testing, and even surgery.
