Claraview Awarded Enterprise Data Warehouse Contract from the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center

RESTON, Va., Dec. 2, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Claraview, a division of Teradata Corporation (NYSE: TDC), a strategy and technology consultancy focused exclusively on data warehousing and business intelligence (BI), announced today that it has signed an agreement with the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center (WFUBMC) to develop an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), implement Teradata's Healthcare Logical Data Model (HCLDM), and create a reporting solution for the Medical Center. A unified EDW will provide a more timely and consistent delivery of summary data across the enterprise to improve organizational efficiencies and quality of patient care.

WFUBMC presently has two separate data warehouses, and have decided as a strategic goal to move to a single EDW, and has engaged Claraview to build their unified EDW.  This phase will consist of a set of executive-level dashboards showing performance in the patient care space encompassing clinical, operational, financial, and regulatory metrics.  The goal is to provide timely delivery of easily accessible, consistent summary data across the enterprise.  Future phases are planned to provide more sophisticated analytics around patient care, as well as providing business intelligence (BI) and analytics in these categories: Service Excellence, Human Resources, Academic, Revenue, and Supply Chain.
