The session, titled "Make the CFO Your New BFF," will explore how looking at customer engagement analytics is a better predictor than self-reported sales activity data. Sales Leaders can earn the confidence of CFOs by delivering more accurate sales forecasts, identify deals at risk earlier, and have access to engagement data to coach teams more effectively.
The Inside Sales conference series is focused on improving performance of Inside Sales teams. Sales Leaders are expected to make predictions every quarter about their performance, but research shows that at least 50 percent of all forecasted deals slip. Due to this lack of precision, CFOs have to adjust forecasts based on gut instinct and past results, which makes it difficult to have confidence in revenue forecasts or to give earnings guidance. In fact, a recent survey revealed that nearly 80 percent of CFOs have low confidence in Sales Leaders forecasts, and 54 percent had little to no confidence in self-reported sales activity data.
Schultz and Gossain will discuss how ClearSlide's new Predictive Insights dashboards apply proprietary data science algorithms to ClearSlide's unique engagement data to give Sales Leaders a clear and reliable understanding of all of their deals. This enables them to make smarter predictions, take action to impact deal outcomes, and coach their sales teams to be more effective.
Schultz leads Marketing and Business Development for ClearSlide. Prior to ClearSlide, he served as VP of Strategic Alliances at DocuSign, where he built out and managed the company's key partnerships and programs over three years of rapid growth. He spent nearly eight years with Microsoft Corporation in various SaaS product management and marketing roles following the acquisition of PlaceWare web conferencing. Schultz earned an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth and a BA in English from Tufts University.
Gossain drives Product and User Experience strategy and execution at ClearSlide. Prior to joining ClearSlide, Raj was VP & GM for new cloud & mobile collaboration apps at Cisco Systems where he ran the Project Squared team. Prior to that he was VP Products for Cisco WebEx. He has an 18 year career in general management, product management and product marketing for global technology companies including Cisco WebEx, Yahoo!, Netscape & AOL. Raj earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
