BOULDER, Colo., March 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Clip Interactive announced a new capability on their interactive radio platform that allows users to access radio station broadcast signals through the FM Chip. The first phone to be activated is Android's popular HTC One (M8), and additional models will be activated in the coming months.
This new feature was announced in support of the National Association of Broadcasters' push for FM Chip activation on all mobile devices. With the enablement of the FM Chip and the recent addition of the interactive web player, Clip Interactive's platform can now reach and monetize radio's total audience – 243 million listeners.
"Broadcasters now have the opportunity to invest in one platform that addresses, manages and monetizes all channels – broadcast, mobile (stream/FM Chip), desktop stream, social media and their website. Our interactive radio platform is generating new revenue for broadcasters – $5M to date," said Michael Lawless, CEO, Clip Interactive.
Clip Interactive's Total Audience Solution is executed within a station's brand, allowing broadcasters to apply 100 percent of their capital and energy on audience development.
"With our full audience reach, proven monetization capability and station brand focus, we've built a platform that dramatically increases radio's value. We invite all broadcasters to adopt our solution," said Lawless.
Clip Interactive's mobile and web solution is widely available and platform-agnostic, functional on all Android, iOS and Windows mobile devices no matter the carrier. The company's platform enables listeners to interact with and respond to all elements of the broadcast and stream with attribution to the station – including advertising, contests, exclusive content, polls and more.
