Todd Dagres, General Partner, Spark Capital
Todd Dagres is a founder and General Partner of Spark Capital. He leads the drive to find the home runs, to uncover the 100x opportunities. He has said that his work to bring Akamai from idea to publicly traded company was his doctoral thesis in venture capital. It is that bedrock of knowledge and the experiences built upon it that he brings to Spark and its partner companies. Mr. Dagres has led Spark's investments in Signpost, Menara Networks, Verivue, Covestor, Kateeva, Group Commerce, Intune Networks and FitOrbit. Mr. Dagres was previously a General Partner and Executive Committee Member at Battery Ventures. There he led the Communications Investment practice while focusing on the media, entertainment and communications industries. Some of his investments at Battery include Akamai Technologies, Qtera (acquired by Nortel Networks), XCOM (acquired by Level 3 Communications), Redstone (acquired by Siemens), River Delta Networks (acquired by Motorola), Broadbus Technologies (acquired by Motorola), Arbor Networks and Cedar Point Communications. Prior to Battery Ventures, Mr. Dagres was Principal and Senior Technology Analyst at Montgomery Securities; Senior Technology Analyst and Vice President at Smith Barney/Robinson Humphrey; Vice President of Communications at the Yankee Group; and Business Development Manager for Networks and Communications at Digital Equipment Corporation. Mr. Dagres holds an MBA from Boston University and a BS in psychology from Trinity College, Hartford, CT.
Tsvi Gal, Partner, Exigen Capital
Tsvi Gal has over 25 years of investment and operational experience in global corporations, with a focus on financial services, media & entertainment and information technology. Prior to joining Exigen Capital, he was the Chief Technology Officer for Deutsche Bank Asset Management and Investment Banking. Previously, he led the launch of a $750 million download and ringtone business as CIO and Head of Business Development at Time Warner Music Group. He played a key role in WMG's leveraged buyout and subsequent public offering. Mr. Gal also led the public offering for Memco and its $550 million acquisition by Computer Associates. As President and Chief Operating Officer of AT&T's ATT.COM, Mr. Gal tripled the group's revenue to $390 million per year. His previous experience includes C-level roles at Merrill Lynch, Wells Fargo, ABN AMRO Bank and Bank of America, as well as General Partner in GBS, a $1 billion USA/Japan private equity fund. In addition, he has advised on numerous mergers and acquisitions as well as public offerings for such companies as Skynet, Ksolo and Vizible. Currently, he is the New York Chapter President of the Society of Information Managers (SIM), a CIO association with more than 3,500 members. He is also the author of "Distributed Computing Management" and served on the USA technology delegation to the G7. In 2001, he received the Einstein Award from the President of Israel. Bill Helman, Partner, Greylock Partners
Bill Helman joined Greylock Partners in 1984. He is primarily focused on enterprise software and currently represents Greylock on the board of Zipcar. Historically Mr. Helman focused on enterprise software, healthcare and biotechnology and led Greylock's investments in Aveo Pharmaceuticals, Exact Sciences, Upromise (merged with Sallie Mae), Outlooksoft (merged with SAP), Tessera (merged with IXL), Ontogeny (merged with Curis), Hyperion Software (merged with Oracle), Filene's Basement, Pharmacopeia, Millennium Pharmaceuticals (merged with Takeda), Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Mitotix (merged with GPC Biotech) and Reveal Imaging (merged with SAIC). Chris Pasko, Senior Managing Director, Blackstone Advisory Partners LP
Chris Pasko is a Senior Managing Director at Blackstone Advisory Partners LP, based in Boston. Since joining Blackstone, Mr. Pasko has been involved with a variety of transactions including advising Xerox in its acquisition of ACS, Sapient in its acquisitions of Derivatives Consulting Group and Nitro, SeaChange in its acquisition of VividLogic and its sale of Casa, Xafinity in its sale to Advent International, DTN in its sale to Telvent, Everbank in its sale of an equity stake to Sageview, and Microsoft in its partnership with Yahoo. Prior to joining Blackstone in 2007, Mr. Pasko spent 20 years at Morgan Stanley, during which time he founded the firm's Boston office and was one of the Heads of its Technology Investment Banking Group.
