Coalfire Receives 2018 Pro Patria Award

Award honors organizations for their support of employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve

WESTMINSTER, Colo., July 31, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Coalfire, a provider of cybersecurity advisory services, announced today that the company has been named a recipient of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Pro Patria Award. Coalfire has earned this recognition from the U.S. Department of Defense due to its steadfast support for its National Guard and Reserve employees through the company's leadership and practices.

Every year, each ESGR State Committee presents the Pro Patria award to three employers (one small, one large, and one public-sector employer) in their respective state or territory. The Pro Patria award is progressive in nature; recipients of this particular award must have at least one supervisor or other representative honored with a Patriot Award, and recipients must sign a Statement of Support. The Pro Patria award is the highest level of award that an ESGR State Committee can bestow upon an employer.

Coalfire was also selected as a semifinalist in the ESGR Secretary of Defense Freedom Awards. The Freedom Award began in 1996 by the ESGR, and Coalfire was one of 149 selected semifinalists nationwide. The semifinalists were chosen from over 2,300 nominations submitted by Guard and Reserve personnel.

The ESGR is a Department of Defense office established in 1972 to gain and maintain employer support for Guard and Reserve personnel. The ESGR has 54 State Committees and views their award program as a key element to furthering employer support while strengthening relationships between service members and employers.
