Cohere Communications, LLC initiates legal action against Axispoint Technology Solutions Group, Inc and former Cohere employee, Brian Luhrs

NEW YORK, July 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- On July 2, 2015, Cohere Communications, LLC, a New York-based provider of managed IT services, including Cloud based computing (IaaS), next-generation telephony, disaster recovery (DRaaS) as well as data center co-location facilities, commenced a lawsuit against Axispoint Technology Solutions Group, Inc. and Brian Luhrs, a former Cohere employee.  In that lawsuit, which was filed in New York Supreme Court, Westchester County (Index No. 61386/2015), Cohere seeks, among other things, an injunction against Luhrs and Axispoint for their wrongful solicitation of Cohere clients and employees, as well as their improper use of Cohere's confidential information.

On July 6, 2015, the Judge assigned issued a Temporary Restraining Order against Luhrs and Axispoint.  The Judge made special note of what he described as "a most serious issue," took exception to Luhrs' solicitation of Cohere clients while he was still employed by Cohere.  Mr. Steven Francesco, Cohere's CEO, made it clear that, "Cohere will vigorously pursue this action and protect its clients," and that he "personally views the actions of Axispoint and Brian Luhrs as egregious – and looks forward to the trial."
