College Savings Isn't Just About College Anymore: What Florida Parents Should Know

Many families still think 529 plans are only for college, but Florida Prepaid's education savings options offer flexibility for a broader range of qualified educational expenses and pathways

What Can Qualified 529 Plan Funds Help Cover?

Depending on the plan and qualified use, eligible 529 plan funds can help cover certain qualified education expenses, including:

• College and university tuition
• Required fees, books and supplies
• Certain room-and-board expenses
• Graduate and professional school programs
• Registered apprenticeship programs
• Certain qualified K-12 expenses
• Certain educational and testing expenses permitted under applicable law
• Limited student loan repayment
