Colliers International Welcomes New DC Region Market Leader

WASHINGTON, Feb. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading global commercial real estate services firm Colliers International (NASDAQ:CIGI, TSX:CIG) today announced that David Parker, a 30-year commercial real estate veteran, will join the firm as Regional Managing Director | Washington, DC. Parker will oversee the company's business in the District of Columbia, Northern Virginia, and suburban Maryland. Colliers has expanded its footprint in the region significantly over the past few years with its full service offerings to investors and occupiers, including brokerage, capital markets, corporate solutions, property management and appraisal services.

In Parker's three-decade career, he has marketed, leased, and sold more than 10 million square feet of commercial real estate. Most recently, he was Executive Vice President and Managing Director of a privately held commercial real estate firm, where he oversaw a portfolio of 12 million square feet, from Washington, DC, to Boston. Prior to joining that firm, he served as Senior Vice President with Cassidy & Pinkard, Inc., where he expanded the Northern Virginia office and directed the firm's efforts to build its brokerage business in that market. Parker also held management positions at the Mid-Atlantic office at Prentiss Properties and at The Kaempfer Companies.

He is currently a member of NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association and the Urban Land Institute. He is a graduate of Williams College.
