Columbia Records Announces the Release of TAKE ME HOME, the New Album From Global Superstars One Direction Available in the U.S., Tuesday, November 13

NEW YORK, Aug. 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- One Direction took the US by storm earlier this year with the release of their debut album UP ALL NIGHT, making history as the first-ever UK band to debut at No. 1 on the US Billboard chart. UP ALL NIGHT is currently the top selling debut album of 2012. The band shows no signs of stopping with the release of their second album TAKE ME HOME available for pre-order Monday, September 3 and in stores Tuesday, November 13.

TAKE ME HOME sees One Direction collaborating with a whole host of first class writers and producers, once again reuniting the band with Rami Yacoub, Carl Falk, Savan Kotecha, Ed Sheeran and McFly's Tom Fletcher. Other collaborators include Dr Luke, Shellback and Toby Gad, with the boys co-writing several tracks. The album is sure to be another huge smash release from a truly international pop phenomenon.

The album's lead single "Live While We're Young" will premiere on radio stations worldwide on Monday, September 24 and can be heard at 12pm ET in the US. The single will be released digitally Monday, October 1 in the US. Around the world the pre-order for the single became the fastest selling pre-order single in history, hitting No. 1 in over 50 countries within hours of it going on sale.
