Columbia Records, FX And Twentieth Century Fox Television Partner To Present Music From FX's Highest Rated Series "Sons of Anarchy"

NEW YORK, Oct. 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Columbia Records, in partnership with FX and Twentieth Century Fox Television, proudly presents the second installment of music to FX's highest rated series, Sons of Anarchy. The soundtrack, Songs of Anarchy: Vol. 2 features a collection of thirteen songs, including new renditions of classic tunes such as "Higher Ground," "To Sir with Love," "The Unclouded Day" and "Travelin' Band". Songs of Anarchy: Vol. 2 will be available Monday, November 19, 2012, with the pre-order available today (see below for details).

The collection kicks off with a never before heard recording of "Sympathy for the Devil," by iconic rock band Jane's Addiction.

Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro will also guest star in the last two episodes of the season, as a member of the Byz Lats gang with close ties to Nero (Jimmy Smits).

Golden Globe^® Award winning actress/singer Katey Sagal returns with a beautiful rendition of "To Sir with Love," a collaboration track with The Forest Rangers. Other notable tracks include "The Lost Boy," "No Milk Today," and the stunning recording of "Time" which features Battleme & The Forest Rangers.

The Forest Rangers serve as the Sons Of Anarchy house band, which includes the show's music composer Bob Thiele, Greg Leisz (guitar/banjo), John Philip Shenale (keyboards), Lyle Workman (guitar), Dave Way (recording Engineer and Sergeant at Arms), Davey Faragher (bass), Brian Macleod (drums) and Velvet Revolver guitarist Dave Kushner.

Sons of Anarchy was created by Kurt Sutter who also serves as Executive Producer along with John Linson, Art Linson and Paris Barclay. The series is produced by FX Productions and Fox 21. Starring Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman and Katey Sagal, Sons of Anarchy is having its best season yet from a ratings standpoint. Currently in season five, the series is delivering an average of 6.45 million Total Viewers and 4.42 million Adults 18-49, respective gains of +16% and +17%. On a weekly multi-telecast basis, Sons is delivering 9.46 million Total Viewers and 6.37 million in Adults 18-49.
