Columbia Records, FX and Twentieth Century Fox Television Partner to Present Music From FX's Highest Rated Series "Sons of Anarchy"

NEW YORK, Oct. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Columbia Records -- Columbia Records, in partnership with FX and Twentieth Century Fox Television, proudly presents the third installment of music to FX's highest rated series, Sons of Anarchy. The soundtrack, Songs of Anarchy Volume 3 features a collection of thirteen songs, including the return of the Forest Rangers and brand new recordings from cast members Maggie Siff and Golden Globe Winner Katey Sagal. Songs of Anarchy Volume 3 will be available Tuesday, December 3, 2013, with the pre-order available today. Fans who pre-order the album on iTunes will receive a new song weekly counting down to the album release (see below for full track listing).

Songs of Anarchy Volume 3 kicks off with Chris Goss & the Forest Rangers' blues-folk take on "Sitting on Top of the World," which was hand-picked by series creator Kurt Sutter. Other stand-out recordings include Leonard Cohen's gritty "Come Healing," Noah Gunderson and the Forest Rangers' "As Tears Go By," and singer songwriter Joshua James' heartfelt "Crash This Train."  Golden Globe^® Award winning actress/singer Katey Sagal is featured on the beautiful cover of "For A Dancer" as well as "Everyday People," which music composer Bob Thiele remarks was the most challenging song to record in the course of working on the show.

The Forest Rangers serve as the Sons Of Anarchy house band, which includes the show's music composer Bob Thiele, Greg Leisz (guitar/banjo), John Philip Shenale (keyboards), Lyle Workman (guitar), Dave Way (recording Engineer and Sergeant at Arms), Davey Faragher (bass), Brian Macleod (drums) and Velvet Revolver guitarist Dave Kushner.

Sons of Anarchy was created by Kurt Sutter, who also serves as Executive Producer along with John Linson, Art Linson and Paris Barclay. The series is produced by FX Productions and Fox 21. Starring Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman and Katey Sagal, Sons of Anarchy is having its best season yet from a ratings standpoint. Currently in season six, the series continues to be FX's highest rated series.

The Sons of Anarchy Season 6 finale airs Tuesday, December 10^th on FX at 10PM ET/PT.
