CPA ranked 7th among small employers (50-100 employees) this year, its highest ranking to date. "It is truly an honor to again be included among so many remarkable organizations that value and prioritize employees at every level. We feel so grateful and privileged to have such exceptional team members at CPA," said Dr. Andrea Piatt, founder and CEO.
"This recognition really belongs to all of our staff members who embody and live out our values every day, by striving to create an environment in which everyone feels supported, genuinely appreciated, and instrumental to fulfilling our mission of helping our clients improve their lives," Dr. Piatt said. "As a behavioral health organization, we are thrilled to see the growing emphasis that successful companies are placing on psychological health and well-being in the workplace. It's great for organizations and even better for their employees," she added.
Being honored as a Top Workplace for the third year in a row reflects recognition that CPA is committed to and consistent in its values to promote the overall well-being of clients and staff alike. Survey results show that CPA's employees find their work meaningful, feel highly valued and enjoy contributing to a workplace culture that promotes work/life balance, ethics, opportunities for continual learning and growth, creativity and collaboration, respect across all departments and, importantly, fun.
Notable activities at CPA in 2016 included a company-wide, employee-led project to create an updated mission & values statement, the creation of a new position for a Diversity & Inclusion Specialist, the addition of three new client services after staff members recognized a need for them and created practical plans to put them into action, and addressing the impact of the stress student loan debt. After discovering the extent of the toll student loan debt was taking on a large percentage of its staff, CPA partnered with Boston-based Gradifi to offer a student loan repayment program that includes employer contributions. CPA also worked with state legislators to create legislation that would increase the program's impact.
