DALLAS, Nov. 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Leadership of the Communications Workers of America has notified AT&T* that former DIRECTV field services employees in the Southeast Region have voted to ratify an agreement between the CWA and the Company.
The agreement, which was reached on September 29, covers about 1,050 employees in the region, and places the employees in an existing contract. The former DIRECTV employees joined AT&T as part of AT&T's July 2015 acquisition of DIRECTV.
The ratification comes less than a week after former DIRECTV field services employees ratified two other agreements with the CWA covering about 200 employees in the Midwest Region and about 900 employees in the Southwest Region. Those agreements also placed employees in existing contracts in those regions. In addition, former DIRECTV employees on August 15 ratified two contracts with the IBEW covering over 1,600 employees in AT&T's field services group in 14 states, as well as about 1,300 employees working in call centers in Boise, Idaho and Missoula, Montana.
