Companies Support the Growing Number of Children and Families in the U.S. Dealing with Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis
NEW YORK, April 13, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In an effort to raise support for patients and families dealing with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) announces three companies partnering with their Take Steps fundraising program who will help raise funds for groundbreaking research for new IBD treatments.

Over the past two years, Take Steps has received more than $225,000 from this campaign alone.

Known collectively as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis affects nearly 1 in 200 people. They are painful, medically incurable diseases that attack the digestive system. Crohn's disease may attack anywhere along the digestive track, while ulcerative colitis inflames only the large intestine (colon).
