CompTIA Annual Member Meeting Preview: New Security Research Previewed

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., March 17, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- New research on how well technology solution providers companies are positioned to provide security products and services to their customers will be previewed at the CompTIA Annual Member Meeting in Chicago this month, CompTIA, the technology industry trade association announced today.

Data from the upcoming study Security in the IT Channel will be presented at a meeting of the CompTIA IT Security Community during the association's Annual Member Meeting March 22-24 at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park Hotel.

"As companies become more digital and data-reliant, they're taking a more proactive stance with their security," said Seth Robinson, senior director, technology analysis, CompTIA. "This change has created new opportunities for technology solution providers.

"But while many providers claim to offer a robust security portfolio, our research suggests that there may be additional steps to take," Robinson continued. Robinson will discuss the Security in the IT Channel report during the CompTIA IT Security Community meeting on Wednesday morning March 23.

The research presentation will be accompanied by a panel discussion – "Security Beyond Technology Spending" – which will examine how solution providers can help customers curb risks while keeping costs in check.
