DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., July 24, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- ChannelCon, the information technology (IT) channel's premier annual education and partnering conference, will for the first time be available simultaneously to both on site and virtual audiences, CompTIA, the IT Industry Trade Association, announced today.
The new ChannelCon Online will deliver two full days of premier vendor-neutral channel training and education for technology solution providers, channel executives, technical IT professionals and anyone else doing business with the IT channel.
The hybrid conference – featuring both face-to-face and virtual gatherings of industry leaders – is the latest innovation by CompTIA to expand opportunities for the IT channel to collaborate, learn and network together.

ChannelCon 2014 is set for Aug. 4-6 at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort and Spa in Phoenix.
ChannelCon Online begins at 8:45 a.m. (PDT/MST) Tuesday, Aug. 5. First-day highlights include the state of the industry keynote speech by Todd Thibodeaux, president and chief executive officer, CompTIA; and an opening keynote by Lisa Bodell, founder and chief executive officer of futurethink, who will speak on "Kill the Company: End the Status Quo, Start an Innovation Revolution." Following her speech, Bodell will participate in an exclusive online interview.
There's also a lively point-counterpoint debate on Tuesday, featuring two leading IT channel observers who'll offer their views on the real impact of key channel trends.
Educational sessions begin Tuesday, including, for the first time, programming created specifically for IT technicians. The Track4Techs program will explore how, in today's world of big data, cloud computing, cyber security, mobility and other innovations, the role of the highly-skilled technician is more important than ever.
As an added bonus for CompTIA certified professionals, several Track4Techs sessions qualify for continuing education unit (CEU) credit for CompTIA certification renewal.
