Compusearch completes deployment of the U.S. Department of Labor's new Acquisition Management System

DULLES, Va., April 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Compusearch® is pleased to announce it has deployed into production its PRISM™ solution as the U.S. Department of Labor's (DOL) enterprise-wide Acquisition Management System (AMS).

The AMS investment is delivering on the goal of acquisition modernization from planning to contract closeout for DOL's program and procurement offices. As the prime contractor Compusearch provided the full suite of implementation services including requirements analysis, configuration, legacy system data migration, security, systems integration, testing, training and deployment. On the IT Dashboard DOL evaluates AMS as 5 (out of 5) and Green for Cost and Schedule. The program is now transitioning to the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) phase which includes the staffing of a dedicated AMS Help Desk located on-site at DOL Headquarters. Compusearch provides AMS through a secure-cloud offering.

AMS interfaces with DOL's New Core Financial Management System (NCFMS), an implementation of the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12. In addition AMS feeds requests to DOL's E-Grants system and is interoperable with Checkbook, a financial system used by DOL's Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). An interface with Active Directory supports user authentication. These integrations facilitate improved customer service, enhanced management reporting and optimized productivity and performance of the AMS users numbering 2,000 contracting professionals, requisitioners, reviewers and approvers.
