Concord Coalition Executive Director Robert Bixby & Peter G. Peterson Foundation President and CEO David Walker to Launch Nationwide 'Fiscal Solutions Tour' in Washington on September 8

Douglas Holtz-Eakin, Bill Novelli, and Isabel Sawhill Will Join in Tour Visits to Half a Dozen Cities Across the Country this Fall

WASHINGTON, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On Wednesday, Sept. 8, in Washington, The Concord Coalition and The Peter G. Peterson Foundation will launch the "Fiscal Solutions Tour," a series of public forums around the country focusing on possible solutions to the nation's record debt and other fiscal and economic challenges.

Robert L. Bixby, executive director of The Concord Coalition, and David M. Walker, president and CEO of The Peter G. Peterson Foundation, will announce plans for the tour at a press briefing at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 8 at the National Press Club.  Other policy experts who will join Wednesday's briefing, as well as the tour, are Douglas Holtz-Eakin, president of The American Action Forum, Bill Novelli, a professor at Georgetown University, and Isabel Sawhill, senior fellow in Economic Studies at The Brookings Institution.

Concord will conduct the Fiscal Solutions Tour, which will visit half a dozen cities this fall, with support from The Peterson Foundation. The tour is not intended to advance a specific set of solutions but will feature a variety of perspectives on different options, including many now under consideration by President Obama's bipartisan National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform.
